What Violation Will Be Reinspected means.
A reinspection is queued for this violation, commonly after a certification of correction was filed or a review was requested. HPD also marks every violation open or closed, and some with this status already read closed, though most still read open. That mark, not the status, decides whether a violation counts as open, and HPD Online shows it for each one.

What happens next
If the inspector finds the condition corrected, the violation moves to dismissed or closed; if not, it moves to an enforcement status and stays open. If the inspector cannot get in, the status becomes First No Access To Re- Inspect Violation instead.

Make access easy on the first visit. If the inspector sees the fix, the violation closes. If nobody answers the door, it stays open, and that can add months.
